The Malawian Ambassador in Cairo Her Excellency Catherine Kunje has asked the flames to do what they know best and wished them well during the encounter between the flames and the Pharaohs scheduled for 24th March 2023 at June 30 Stadium in Cairo for the Group D Africa Cup of Nations qualification games.
The ambassador made the remarks after meeting the Malawi National Team right at the Cairo International Stadium during the training session days before the main game
Encouraging the Head Coach Mario Marinica alongside his assistants, the Ambassador welcomed the team and assured them of the support from the Mission and the Malawian diaspora in Egypt. “I have officially visited you during your training session just to express our support and I know we are ready for this game, therefore, let’s keep up the winning spirit and make our nation proud, The Flames Moto,” She concluded.
In order to show their support for the Flames, the Team was welcomed from the Airport by the Malawi Mission in collaboration with the Malawians living in Egypt especially students from Cairo and Azhar Universities respectively.
